The word ‘Casa calmoso’ has the meaning of “tranquil and calm house.” Ready2Wear started with this sense of the word. Ready2Wear needed a kind of service space, intended as a showroom, that creates a curatorial area by interacting with their customer.

To induce a calming atmosphere, some spatial elements are harmonized and maximize the mood. - designed curved-line ceiling, indirect lighting fixture rather than the use of direct lighting, rough material which has natural texture, and furniture made from those forms and material. These spatial elements are now unified as the entire mood of the new showroom “Ready2Wear.”

We hope this space can bring a sense of tranquil and calm house for our clients and customer.

Casa 레디투웨어는 ‘고요하고 평온한 집’을 뜻하는 단어 ‘casa calmoso’에서 영감을 얻고 의미를 발전시켰습니다. 고객들의 취향에 더 알맞은 큐레이팅을 위하여 레디투웨어는 보다 고객들과 따뜻한 교감을 할 수 있는 공간이 필요했고 클라이언트와의 회의를 거쳐 우리는 레디투웨어 쇼룸 2층을 리뉴얼 하기로 했습니다. 레디투웨어만의 특별한 공간을 표현함에 있어 공간의 무드를 자아내는 공간감과 조도 그리고 마감재의 역할이 중요했습니다.

때문에 낮은 천정고가 가지고 있는 핸디캡을 극복하기 위한 천정의 형태, 자연 그대로를 담고 있는 거친 마감재와 매끄럽고 부드러운 마감재들의 대비, 공간의 분위기를 극대화 시킬 수 있는 가구디자인, 간접 조명의 분위기 등으로 특별한 뉘앙스가 느껴지는 공간을 담백하게 담아보려 했습니다.

자칫 디자인에 제한적인 요소로 작용할 수 있는 공간의 여건을 조도와 마감재 그 자체가 가진 느낌과 그것들의 대비, 그리고 그 공간에 알맞은 형태로 제작한 가구들로 보완하여 머무는 시간 동안 편안하고 특별한 시간이 될 수 있는 공간을 디자인해보고자 했던 프로젝트입니다.
